Doha, Qatar: M7, Qatar’s epicentre for innovation and entrepreneurship in design, fashion, and technology, yesterday opened the second edition of its much-anticipated pop-up event, with the theme ‘The Edit’. Open from November 26 to 30, 2024 in Gallery 2 at M7, the five-day event showcases a curated selection of 28 coveted brands from Qatar and the MENA region.
This year’s event builds on the success of the inaugural edition, which spotlighted the creative diversity of the region by featuring 22 unique brands. The 2024 edition goes further, bringing together a mix of returning favourites, and promising talents.
Maha Al Sulaiti, Director of M7, said, “The second iteration of the Pop-Up continues to celebrate the innovation and creativity flourishing in Qatar and the wider MENA region. By bringing together such a dynamic mix of designers, we aim to create a platform that put a spotlight and amplifies the voices of emerging talents while connecting them with local and international audiences.”
Womenswear brands on display will include Marpholio (Qatar), 1309 Studios (Qatar), Mona Alshebil (Saudi Arabia), LIN (Qatar), Maryam Al Malki (Qatar), Chi-ka (UAE), Jabador (Qatar/Morocco), Maison Sara Chraibi (Morocco).
Among the selected Abaya brands are Neon (Qatar), Harlienz (Qatar), Dollab (Qatar), Essentials by D (Qatar), Khat (Qatar), Nowayer (Qatar), The Kaftan (Qatar), Latierra (Qatar), Hear (Qatar), By.nouff (Qatar), Azalea Designs(Qatar), BY Noora F (Qatar), LN Abayas (Qatar), and ZAH Design (UAE).
The pop up will also showcase two accessories’ brands, Zyne (Morocco), and ShopMyyVault (Qatar), as well as handmade handbags and shawls by MAK Collections (Qatar), and Fashion Tech brand Pronto (Qatar).
This edition highlights the diversity and creativity of the region by featuring designers from countries including Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, alongside a strong representation from Qatar. The inclusion of three Moroccan designers participating this year aligns with the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, a yearly initiative that spearheads long-lasting cultural partnerships between Qatar and other nations.
Visitors are invited to explore an inspiring showcase of fresh perspectives, strong brand aesthetics, and covetable designs, and shop collections across categories such as ready-to-wear, eveningwear, abayas, and accessories.
