DOHA: Qatar Charity (QC) club organised a number of developmental workshop for the Qatari students in Britain that saw a participation of more than 80 students.
Organised by QC’s club “Qemam”, these workshops were aimed at developing the skills and reinforcing the morals of Qatari students in British universities. It was held in cooperation with other Qatari students’ clubs in Britain. The workshops dealt with the four axes of heart, mind, body, and money.
The workshops were held in the cities Cardiff, Liverpool, and Coventry.
Khaled Abu Moza, a Muslim preacher spoke on the topic “success at the time of luxury” where he focused on faith, love, and hobbies, explaining how one’s hobbies should not dominate the other aspects in order to keep the heart in balance.
He mentioned that the ‘body axis” included sleep, food, and movement and emphasized on how keeping these aspects in balance would ensure a healthy body and a healthy brain capable of creativity and innovation.
He also discussed how the students should determine their main goals to manage their lives effectively. He spoke about the greatest achievements that the youth should keep in mind.
Regarding “money axis’, Abu Moza explained how money is earned through one’s profession. In order for the employee to keep their job, they need to be honest and efficient. They should also work hard to continuously enhance their work through developing their skills. He added that the heart is the control centre and it affects all other three axes.
Fahd Al Jalham, President of Coventry’s Students Club, said that the event witnessed a distinguished presence and interaction from the students. Students in the Coventry Club were happy to receive such workshops and gatherings, as they created opportunities to meet with people with different kinds of expertise, he added. He wished that Qemam Club would continue its noble efforts to enrich students’ lives in Britain.
Qemam had previously held three gatherings for Qatari students in Britain.
Theses gatherings were held in the cities with the largest numbers of Qatari students: Swansea, Cardiff, and Huddersfield.
