DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani inaugurated the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Justice for 2025-2030 yesterday.

The strategy aims to develop the legal sector of the country, improve judicial services provided to the public, and strengthen partnerships with members of the legal and judicial sectors and legal professions.

This is in a way that serves the legal and judicial system and contributes to the development of the Qatari legal sector in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The launch ceremony was attended by the Their Excellencies Ministers, senior officials, and guests.

Addressing the event, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi said that the Ministry aims, through the strategic plan, to provide legal services with transparency and high efficiency, and to enhance institutional and community partnerships in a way that serves the public interest.

In this context, he said: “The strategy focused on enhancing investment opportunities and sustainable economic development, which is a fundamental pillar that Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has directed us to do.”

The Minister said that the strategic plans seek to achieve this in a way that ensures its achievement by the pioneering model included in the Third National Development Strategy, to move Qatar to the ranks of advanced countries by 2030.

“This strategy is based on a solid framework of institutional values that form the basis of its work and includes partnerships to enhance cooperation locally and internationally to achieve the vision and mission of the Ministry, compliance, and responsibility,” said Al Mohannadi.

He added that these aim to activate an effective and transparent governance system that clarifies roles and responsibilities and supports decision-making and accountability, innovation by providing advanced judicial services that facilitate the procedures of beneficiaries, and sustainability by adopting modern technologies that rely on data management to develop the services provided.

The Minister explained that these values were the basis for formulating 27 strategic initiatives emanating from the main axes and empowerment axes included in the Ministry’s strategic plan.

He said that a set of performance indicators was also identified to monitor progress in achieving the objectives of seven main strategic axes, and these efforts are directed towards achieving 14 targets within the Third National Development Strategy, either directly or indirectly.

“These targets also included boosting the business environment and achieving an efficient and distinguished judicial system that enhances transparency and integrity and increases community confidence,” said Al Mohannadi.

He said that the Ministry also paid great attention to providing distinguished government services that contribute to raising the quality of life for everyone living in Qatar.

The Minister said that the strategy was inspired by one of the most important pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030, which is the pillar of human development.

“It has taken upon itself the task of building distinguished human competencies in the justice sector, based on leadership, innovation, institutional culture, continuous education, and assuming responsibility,” said Al Mohannadi.

He said that one of the most important results of this approach will be supporting the building of a cohesive society in which public benefit is achieved through constructive partnerships at the local, regional, and global levels.

The launch ceremony included a presentation video in which H E Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, reviewed the most prominent features of the plan and its objectives.

He said that the Strategic Plan pays special attention to developing national legal competencies and building human capacities in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 in its human pillar, through developing the workforce and enhancing its readiness for the future.
