DOHA: Ooredoo’s self-service machines (SSMs) will soon accept donations for Eid Bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association (Eid Charity).
Ooredoo and Eid Charity have signed an agreement to enable people to donate through over 200 SSMs across the country by cash or credit/debit card 24/7.
The deal was signed by Ooredoo’s Chief Sales and Services Officer Ahmad Abdulaziz Al Neama, and Eid Charity’s Executive Manager, Resources Development and Media, Nawaf bin Abdullah Al Hammadi. Donations will go to initiatives supporting human relief, medical projects, Holy Quran services, development projects, water well drilling and orphan sponsorship, among others.
“Ooredoo users have been able to donate to charities via our SSMs in the past but only during special times such as Eid or Ramadan. With this new partnership, everyone in Qatar will be able to give to worthy causes whenever they want. Ooredoo has a long history of supporting and working with Eid Charity and we’re proud now be able to facilitate such a vital way for Qatar’s people to help,” said Al Naema.
Al Hammadi said: “Allowing people to donate in the most simplest ways is a main goal for us, and the SSMs make donation easier and can be made while topping up your phone, or passing a machine. With many of our causes in need of funds and attention, we are delighted to be associated with Ooredoo and aim to bring about a positive social change in Qatar for its people.”
This is the latest in upgrades on Ooredoo’s network of SSMs as it continue to offer more options for customers to keep up-to-date with their daily services.
