Qatari artist Boujassoum depicts ‘The Good Old Days’

Qatari artist Hassan Boujassoum explains his works at his exhibition.

DOHA: Twenty-six paintings depicting the life of Qataris in the past adorn the walls of Katara Building No. 22 for ‘The Good Old Days Exhibition’ featuring Qatari artist Hassan Boujassoum.
Visitors to the exhibition, which runs until January 6, experience a sense of nostalgia of Qatari ancestors’ time and the authentic values that shaped the Qatari identity vividly captured by the artist
Boujassoum explained that he tried through the exhibition to revive the history of his forefathers to share it with the new generation.
Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said Boujassoum has excelled in displaying Qatari heritage through his works.
“He really gives us the impression that we are watching a documentary about the life of our grandfathers during that era of Qatari society. 
“Launching the exhibition is an integral part of Katara’s strategy to encourage Qatari artists and boost ties with children and grandchildren,” Al Sulaiti added.
Katara has hosted exhibitions highlighting works of Qatari artists, including Nawal Al Manai, Hassan Al Mulla, Essa Al Mulla, Fatima Al Shibbani, Amira Al Aji, Abdulaziz Al Sadiq and Mariam Al Saddah.
