Older buses, trucks and taxis not allowed to cross Abu Samra Border: MOI

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior issued a regulatory directive on the operational age of vehicles transporting goods and passengers via the Abu Samra border crossing. 

As per the directive, vehicles used as taxis with an operational age of more than five years and buses that are more than 10 years from the date of manufacturing will not be permitted to cross the land border.  

The MOI announced this on its social media, stating, "In accordance with the regulatory directives concerning the transport of goods by trucks and the transport of passengers by buses and taxis via land routes, vehicles with an operational age of more than five (5) years from the date of manufacture are not permitted to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing. Buses with an operational age of more than ten (10) years from the date of manufacture are also not allowed to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing."
