Doha: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure on the exit leading from Jeryan Jenaihat area to Al Shamal Road (North-bound), and a temporary closure on the existing northbound exit of roundabout on Al Kheesa Road (located east of Al Kheesa Interchange) for a distance of 150 metres, as shown in the map.
The closure will begin on Thursday, December 31 2015, and will last six months.
During this period, traffic heading from Jeryan Jenaihat area (zone 70) to Al Shamal Road will be diverted to a newly constructed single-lane dual carriageway section to the roundabout located north of Al Kheesa Petrol Station. Traffic heading to Al Kheesa Petrol Station will need to continue on the road parallel to Al Shamal Road, then turn right approximately 200 metres north of Al Kheesa Interchange (N10), as shown in the attached map.
This closure is required to carry out construction works of a bridge and proposed service roads which forms part of the North Road enhancement project.
Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
