Al Emadi Enterprises signs sponsorship deal

DOHA: Al Emadi Enterprises yesterday announced its support for Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club as the title sponsor of HH The Heir Apparent Trophy, a Group II Pure Arabian race. 

The press conference was attended by REC Chairman Sheikh Mohammed bin Faleh Al Thani, Al Emadi Enterprises CEO, Mohammed Al Emadi and REC Deputy General Manager Tariq Abdulhameed Al Sidiqi. 

Talking about the 2013 Heir Apparent Trophy race, Al Emadi CEO Mohammed Al Emadi said: “We’re very proud to be associated with this prestigious His Highness the Heir Apparent Trophy race. Whatever we experienced in the Paris horse racing, organised by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, it was just too good.”

He added: “They are highly professional people and are promoting the sport in a very big way in the international arena. We’re indeed very impressed with their high-level of the organisation of the events. It is our great pleasure and privilege that we have the opportunity to partner with the QREC in two big races at home. “

Al Emadi explained: “We are happy to extend our involvement in the H H the Heir Apparent Trophy races and we’ll support one of the Emir’s Cup races as well.”

Chairman of QREC, Sheikh Mohammed thanked Al Emadi Enterprises for its continued support for H H the Heir Apparent Trophy. 

“Al Emadi Enterprises and the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club have a long standing relationship,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “We thank them for their interest in supporting horse racing, which is indeed a sport fostered by our forefathers,” he said.

QREC deputy general manager Tariq Sidiqie said: “Over three days, we’ll hold the races for various local and imported horses. The total prize money for three days is QR2.5m. The HH Heir Apparent Sword winner will be presented with a golden sword and a prize money of QR 800,000 is on offer to the winners.”
