Doha: The Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry in cooperation with Al Jazeera Children's Channel launched today at the ministry premises the Diplomatic Child project.
The launch was attended by HE Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute Dr Hassan bin Ibrahim Al Mohannadi and a number of officials from the ministry and Al Jazeera Children's Channel.
The project has a cartoon character named 'Nasser' and will introduce the concept of diplomacy to the young generation. It produces age-oriented programs for children to shed light on the Qatari diplomacy and will include cartoon movies representing figures from the Qatari heritage, publications and field visits to schools.
The two sides had signed an MoU to form cartoon characters from the Qatari heritage to introduce the concept of diplomacy to the young generation, and to cooperate in the production of age-oriented programs for children (7-14 years) to shed light on the Qatari diplomacy and establish the diplomatic thought.
