Doha: Over 100 people from various walks of life took part to show support in the ‘Beat Cancer’ awareness programme initiated by Future 318 Faisal Al Suwaidi for Events, with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros (AAB) as its strategic partner and SFQ Sports Academy as organising partner.
Participants were divided into five groups and each took turn to do all activities simultaneously. The last part of the programme was a treasure hunt game, incorporating cancer awareness by searching for types of cancers in the Word Search Puzzle, solving a riddle and a jigsaw puzzle.
AAB culture encourages work and life balance to promote a healthy quality of life. It recognises the importance of sports in the holistic development of an individual and community in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
It strives to promote a healthy lifestyle by conducting weekly internal sport events participated in by half of its of employees or about 1,600 sports enthusiasts. AAB believes that a healthy and active lifestyle is one of the best ways to prevent the onset of diseases, including cancer.
Heba Nassar from Qatar Cancer Society thanked and welcomed participants and gave an overview of how cancer can be prevented by living an active healthy lifestyle.

A group of employees from various departments of the hotel joined the camp and won as the fastest group to finish all challenges.
The Peninsula
