Israeli occupation unleashed death and destruction again in the Gaza Strip when the whole world was trying to find a way to maintain the ceasefire and reach a permanent solution and bring peace to the region. Without any care for international efforts or humanitarian laws, the Israeli forces bombarded the Strip and brutally killed and wounded hundreds, most of whom were children, women and elderly. Qatar strongly condemned Israel’s resumption of aggression on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in over 400 deaths and 562 injuries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as a blatant challenge to international peace efforts and the ceasefire agreement, warning that such actions risk regional instability. The ministry called for urgent international intervention to protect Palestinians and resume dialogue to end the war. The overnight strikes are by far the deadliest since the truce took effect in January. Egypt said yesterday that the deadly air strikes on Gaza were part of a bid to "force" the territory's Palestinian residents into displacement. Egypt, who worked along with Qatar and the United States to mediate a truce, condemned the strikes as a "flagrant violation" of the ceasefire. The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that several government officials in the Strip were killed in the airstrikes. The United Nations and UNICEF expressed shock and condemnation over the attack. UN Humanitarian Coordinator Muhannad Hadi called the situation “unconscionable”. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk described the airstrikes as a “nightmare,” stressing the need for a political solution to end the suffering. Medical officials in Gaza described catastrophic conditions, with 25 of 38 hospitals non-operational due to fuel and supply shortages. The resumption of Israeli aggression has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, with medical crews struggling to reach the injured due to disrupted operations and closed crossings. It's of utmost importance that international organisations and nations come together immediately to put in place a global action to halt the violence and achieve lasting peace.
