Madrid: Spain announced on Thursday full support to the plan adopted by the Arab Summit held in Cairo for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, while rejecting forced displacement of Palestinians.
In a statement, the Spanish Foreign Ministry said Spain supports the early recovery plan, and reconstruction and development in Gaza, renewing support to the Arab League's efforts for peace and stability in the region.
The statement welcomed backing the role of Palestine in rebuilding Gaza for a future in which Palestinian people could live in peace on their land, adding that the plan determines the path for stability in Gaza and moves toward achieving the two-state solution.
It renewed call for the consolidation of the ceasefire, while rejecting forced displacement of Palestinians, and demanding the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza without interruption.
