Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA),  received  in  his  office  Nihat Ozdemir, President of the Turkish  Football  Federation  (TFF), and Servet Yardımcı, First Vice-President of the TFF, in the presence  of  Kadir  Kardaş,  Secretary General of the TFF, and  Hamit  Altintop  and  Nuri  Akyan, TFF Executive Directors.

On  the  Qatari  side,  the  meeting was attended by Saud bin  Abdulaziz  Al  Mohannadi,  Vice-President of the QFA, Ali Daoud, Executive Director of the President’s Office, and Hani Ballan, member of the Executive Office of the QFA.

The  visit  of  the  TFF  dele-gation came on the sidelines of the Turkish Super Cup match, hosted by Doha today for the first time, between Besiktas and Antalyaspor.

Sheikh Hamad stressed that Doha’s hosting of the Turkish Super match is the culmination of  a  distinguished  history  of  bilateral relations between the federations of the two friendly countries,  which  strengthens  the prospects for successful and fruitful cooperation in the field of football.

He explained that the two federations  are  linked  by  a  memorandum signed in 2018, which includes many aspects of joint cooperation, many of which have been implemented recently, benefiting football in both countries.

The   distinguished   relationship  between  Qatar  and  Turkey in football represents an ideal model of how sports fed-erations should cooperate with each  other.

The  visit  of  the  Turkish delegation witnessed another     opportunity     to     strengthen the cooperation with the renewal of the agreement between the two sides.

During the reception at the QFA head-quarters, the two sides also talked about the future and the devel-opment  of  bilateral  relations  between  the  federations,  to  include more areas that will have many  fruitful  results,  which  in  turn will enhance the continuous success of football in both Qatar and  Turkey,  and  ensure  the  development  of  football  at  the  local,  Asian  and  international  levels.
