Doha: The General Secretariat of the Cabinet yesterday celebrated National Sport Day.
The celebration was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud.
The General Secretariat’s celebration was in accordance with the Emiri decision No. 80 of 2011 which earmarked the second Tuesday of every February as National Sport Day.
Activities started in the morning with a march on the Doha Corniche. Then participants headed to Al Markiyah Sports Club where activities were held along with a match between the teams of the General Secretariat and Public Prosecution. QNA
