Ticket sales, Hayya Card centre opened at DEC

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of  the  FIFA  Arab  Cup  Qatar  2021  yesterday inaugurated the headquarters of  the  main  Ticket  Sales  Centre  and  Hayya Card (Fan ID) at the Doha Exhi-bition Centre (DEC) in Al Qassar.

The highly-anticipated tournament, which will bring together Arab world’s best 16 sides, will be held at six FIFA World  Cup  Qatar  2022  venues  from  November 30 to December 18.

The tick-eting centre at DEC will be operational from 10 am to 10 pm while on Fridays it will be open from 2:00pm to 10 pm.

The   LOC   members   including   Project  Lead  of  Fan  Service,  LOC  Hassan  Rabeea  Al  Kuwari,  Chief  of  Tournament Experience SC Khalid Al Mawlawi, Executive Director of Tech-nology  &  Innovation  SC  Sami  Al  Shammari and Doha Exhibition Centre Venue  Manager  Ahmed  Al  Thani  revealed details at the press conference that took place at the DEC.“We have named the Fan ID Hayya, which  will  give  best  experience  to  fans,”  Al  Mawlawi  told  reporters  yesterday. “The  Arab  Cup  will  be  a  great  opportunity for fans to enjoy football. With the Hayya Card, they will be able to enjoy a lot of privileges like trav-elling in Metro which will make their experience of the tournament memo-rable,” he added. All fans will be required to have an approved Hayya Card (Fan ID) appli-cation  number  to  enter  the  State  of  Qatar and the FIFA Arab Cup stadiums.

All fans will be required to collect their physical Hayya (Fan ID) smart card from the Fan ID Service Centre.The  Hayya  Card  (Fan  ID)  is  a  smart-technology identification card designed to provide fans with the best experience in Qatar and will serve as a means of identification and provide access  to  tournament  stadiums  in  combination  with  a  valid  match  ticket.

Fans travelling from abroad can use their Hayya Card (Fan ID) to enter Qatar multiple times – provided they carry a valid passport recognised by the State of Qatar.

It will also provide ticket holders with access to a number of  services  and  benefits  relating  to  transport, tourism and others.Fans should apply for their Fan ID once they have paid for their match tickets and have received their ticket application number by email.

Fan ID applications can be submitted online via  the  host  country  entry  portal  website (FAC21.qa)

Over 50 percent tickets sold, says Al Kuwari Meanwhile, Al Kuwari, Project Lead of Fan Service, LOC informed over 50 percent of tickets for the Arab Cup has already been sold. “I would like to advise fans to act fast if they want to catch live action of the Arab Cup at the World Cup venues,” he said.

“The tickets are selling fast and as we are intensifying our operations by launching new centers, we expect ticket to be sold out soon,” he added.

He added that some matches of the Arab Cup have already been sold out. “Overall, more than 50 percent of the tickets have been sold and tickets for some matches are available no more. We expect to finish tickets sale soon and are looking forward to packed stadiums at the Arab Cup,” Al Kuwari added.
