DOHA: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) participated in the ceremony held yesterday by the Audio Education Complex in cooperation with Qatar Institute for Speech and Hearing (QISH) in celebration of the Gulf Child Day, marked every year on January 15 by GCC countries. The event was attended by several QRCS officials, including Hamad Al Fayyad, Communications Director, Ibrahim Al  Ajlan, Head of Public Relations, and Issa Al Ishaq, Head of Human Resources, along with several volunteers and social advisors from the Social Development Department.
In his opening speech, Al Ajlan said, “On the occasion of Gulf Child Day, QRCS shares with you the care for these dear children, inspired by the national development strategy that pursues the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
“We seek to improve the life of everyone here in Qatar, through ambitious programs to ensure sustainable economic prosperity, social development and human rights protection of all nationals and non-nationals of all walks of life,” Al Ajlan added.
Fun-filled competitions were held to put a smile on the faces of the 50 children from the Audio Education Complex and QISH who attended the celebration.
In the same vein, a workshop will be held today at QRCS Women’s Branch for housewives of the Qatari society, under the title of “originality, roots, and citizenship.”The Peninsula
