Doha: Saudi Arabia’s Ramzy Al Duhami clinched the Medium Tour Class during the 12th round of the Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour yesterday. The experienced rider timed 33.87 seconds in the jump off with 16-year-old gelding High Quality in the 135cm class.
Small Tour podium winners were honoured by former Egyptian Olympic rider Andre Sakakini.
Al Duhami also took third spot with his 12-year-old stallion Las Vegas VD Padenborre in 36.25 seconds. Qatar’s Rashid Towaim Al Marri finished third with his trusted mare Navaronne in 35.36 secs.
The Medium Tour team competition was won by Ajwad, comprising riders Rashid Towaim Al Marri, Cyrine Cherif and Saeed Nasser Al Qadi. Exxonmobil were second while Alfardan took third spot.

The Small Tour was won by Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi astride 14-year-old mare Quick Step in 57.61 seconds. Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Mohannadi (Peppercrack K; 58.39secs) was second, followed by Mohamed Dhafi Al Marri (Destiny 297; 61.46 secs) in third.
In the junior riders category, Haya Khalid Al Hitmi clinched the top spot, with Hend Abdulhadi Al Hajri claiming both the second and third positions.
