Doha: The Mosque Affairs Department at Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) in partnership with the Educational Guidance Department, has launched an educational programme titled: The Young Muezzin, aiming to teach and prepare young Muslims to practice adhan in mosques statewide during the holy month of Ramadan.
Director of the Mosque Affairs Department at the Ministry, Dr. Sulaiman Jumaan Al Qahtani, said the initiative is part of the ministry’s vision to qualify the Qatari students and imbue them with the Islamic values to be prepared for being part of the ministry’s staff.
