DOHA: Qatar SC yesterday crushed under-pressure Al Arabi 2-0 in their round four clash in the Qatar Stars League (QSL).
Sayed Hadi Aghily (penalty) and captain Bakri Kone brought delight to the Qatar SC camp with their sublime efforts.
Aghily scored in the 23rd minute whereas Kone found the net two minutes from the end of the first half.
Al Arabi were playing their first match under new coach Hassan Shehata.
The QSL side is still without a win from four matches.
Al Arabi have two draws and a similar number of losses from their four matches.
Qatar SC on the other hand posted their first win of the new season.
Also yesterday, Umm Salal yesterday rallied for a 1-1 draw against Al Khairaitiyat in their round four clash.
Al Khairaitiyat took the lead through Yahia Kebe in the third minute of the match.
However, Umm Salal found the equaliser through Mamadou Traore Baila in the 28th minute at Al Khor Stadium.
Coached by Bernard Simondi, Al Kharaitiyat are still without a win in the new season.
Umm Salal, who surprised Eljaish in the first match of the season, have lost two matches.
In the last match of the day, defending champions Lekhwiya rallied for an 2-2 draw against Al Wakra.
Striker Sebastian Soria scored the first goal of the match in the 20th minute.
However, Al Wakra hit back with two goals from Yusuf Adam (32) and Younis Mahmood (53).
Despite being under pressure, Lekhwiya owed their draw to Ali Hassan Afif (69) who scored the equaliser.
It was a welcome draw for Lekhwiya - who were on a two-match losing streak.
Lekhwiya were playing under new coach Eric Gerets for the first time in QSL.
Gerets replaced Djamale Belmadi two weeks ago.
Al Wakra - who have three wins from four matches - are still unbeaten in the league.
