Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) has launched an intensive field campaign to remove unauthorized cabins across various regions of the country, as part of its efforts to protect the environment and promote compliance with winter camping regulations.
In a statement, the Ministry clarified that the campaign targeted cabins established without proper licensing, as well as those failing to adhere to approved environmental standards. Violations were identified, and legal measures were taken against offenders, including the removal of non-compliant cabins.
The Ministry emphasized that this campaign reflects its commitment to fostering a culture of environmental compliance and preventing practices that harm the environment or hinder conservation efforts. It highlighted the crucial role of environmental awareness and community participation in preserving nature.
The Ministry also stated that inspection campaigns would continue throughout the camping season to reduce environmental violations and guide campers toward legal alternatives that ensure a safe and sustainable camping experience.
The Ministry called upon all citizens and residents to comply with winter camping regulations and cooperate with relevant authorities. It underscored that protecting the environment is not just a legal obligation but also a national and ethical responsibility essential for ensuring the sustainability of natural resources for future generations.
