Doha, Qatar: The tenth round of the eighth edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour continued with thrilling showjumping action as Rashid Towaim Al Marri and Faisal Mohammed Al Naimi claimed top honours at Al Shaqab on Friday night.

In the Medium Tour - Accumulator with Joker, FEI art. 269.5 - 135 cm individual event, Al Marri claimed victory in 48.03 seconds aboard Qatar Equestrian Federation-owned 12-year-old mare Navaronne to secure the top prize, while Jaber Rashid Al Amri closely followed in the second place at 48.23 seconds astride Apollon Du Banney. Saeed Hamad Jumaa booked the third spot on the podium following a ride that lasted 49.03 seconds astride Diesel GP Du Bois Madame.

Saad Ahmed Al Saad secured both fourth and fifth places. He guided Fashion Des Douits in a routine completed in 50.99 seconds to win fourth place and also claimed fifth spot with Craquante De Mazin with a 51.08-second ride. Qatar National Equestrian Team Manager Fahad Rashid Al Ameri presented the trophies to the winners.

In the Medium Tour Team event, Alsalam were powered by impressive performances from Andre Sakakini (Heavens Light H), Khaled Aleid (Rakker DMC) and Ahmed Mohammed Al Badi as they finished on top with a time of 106.71 seconds.

Lekhwiya, with Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi (Casal des Forets), Hamad Nasser Al Qadi (Stella) and Saeed Nasser Al Qadi (DG Legaland JO), came second with a time of 117.32 seconds. Al Fardan came third after Mohammed Khalifa Al Baker (Dukhan 3), Nasser Al Ghazali (Etna du Chateau) and Rashid Towaim Al Marri (Navaronne) clocked a time of 100.88 seconds.

Earlier, in the Amateur event, Al Naimi set the pace aboard Dilandra to clinch the victory in 39.95 seconds. Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, riding Zion, came second in 40.01 seconds, while Mohammed Faisal Al Marri finished third on Miss Chilli following a 40.45-second routine.
