Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned Israel's security cabinet's endorsement of a plan to separate 13 unlawful settlements in the occupied West Bank, in a prelude to legalizing colonial settlements in a gross violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.

In a statement on Sunday, the OIC warned of the threat posed by the establishment of a private Israeli agency to displace Palestinians, under the guise of voluntary departure, and reiterated its unequivocal rejection of plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, whether individually or collectively, within or outside their lands, or through forced displacement and banishment, which are deemed gross infringements of international humanitarian law and the relevant UN resolutions.

It urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to uphold its responsibility to counter Israeli crimes, including genocide, colonial settlement, demolition of homes, forced displacement, and the attempt to impose Israeli sovereignty over Palestinian territories, and to impose deterrent international sanctions on Israel, stressing the importance of supporting efforts to achieve the two-state solution.
