Doha, Qatar: Minister of Public Health HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud visited Sidra Medicine, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF).
During the visit, His Excellency was accompanied by Dr Iyabo Tinubu Karch, CEO of Sidra Medicine, and briefed by the hospital teams on the tertiary healthcare services provided to women, children, and young people, as well as medical education and its key role in conducting innovative medical research.
Sidra Medicine provides essential services across its various clinics, including adolescent medicine, anaesthesia, cardiology, child and adolescent mental health, developmental paediatrics, endocrinology and diabetes, gastroenterology, general paediatrics, general surgery, genetics and genomics, haematology and oncology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, pulmonology, nephrology, neurology, maternal-fetal medicine, fetal diagnostics, menopause clinic, and gynaecology.
This visit is part of the Minister's various field visits to public and private health facilities to check the healthcare provision progress. It also underscores the Ministry of Public Health's commitment to supporting health facilities in delivering the best possible services for the people of Qatar according to the best international standards and in line with the National Health Strategy, the Third National Development Strategy of Qatar, and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
