Doha: Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) and the Union of Arab Securities Commissions (UASA) in Cooperation with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have organised a training programme entitled “Effective Oversight and Development of Capital Markets”. Held in Doha from September 23 to 27, the event will shed light on dealing with financial market abuses, providing different observation approaches by regulatory systems around the world, as well as providing real- world examples of inefficiencies and abuses in order to explore the regulatory and additional statutory tools used by regulators.
Seven Arab securities market regulators representing Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Sudan and Qatar; and six local entities: Qatar Financial Markets Authority, Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, Qatar Exchange, Qatar Financial Centre Authority, Ministry of Business and Trade, Qatar Central Bank.
FMQatar to be held on October 3
