Doha: A whirlwind unbeaten knock of 58 runs off 25 balls from Saqlain Arshad propelled Fireox Unit Cricket Club to a 9-wicket win against Phantom Cricket Club in the semi-final of the Qatar Cricket Association conducted T10 Ramadan Cup 2025 at the West End International Stadium on Tuesday night.
Fireox were chasing a stiff target of 115 to win and Arshad led the charge striking four fours and six sixes during his innings to set the tone.
Arshad and Abdul Manan Ali (41 not out off 16 balls; 2x4s, 4x6s) shared an unbroken 86-run second-wicket stand as they overhauled the target in eight overs to set up a final clash with Al Asnad.
Phantom CC batting first scored 114 for 3 in their alloted 10 overs with Shahzeb Afridi Marjan making the highest 38 runs (20 balls; 4x4s, 2x6s). Mohammad Shabaz Anwar made 33 off 22 balls.
Earlier, Al Asnad registered an eight-wicket win over Hilti CC.
Chasing a target of 112 runs, Al Asnad were guided by opener Umer Ahmad (42; 27 balls; 7x4s) and Shafaullah Khan (40 not out; 20 balls; 3x4s, 3x6s) to be through in nine overs.
For Hilti CC, opener Daniel Archer was the top performer, scoring a half century (50; 22balls; 4x4s, 4x6s).
