Ankara: Two Turkish soldiers were killed in northern Syria in an attack launched by PKK and YPG elements, Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday.
The two soldiers succumbed to their injuries at the hospital after the assailants opened fire in the Operation Euphrates Shield zone on Tuesday, according to a statement by the ministry.
Turkish authorities launched operations Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch, and Peace Spring in northern Syria in cooperation with the Syrian army.
The operations managed to clear thousands of kilometers of lands from armed elements and helped thousands of Syrians return to their homeland. (QNA)
