DOHA: The Mosques Management Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has prepared 690 mosques and open grounds across the country for Eid Al Fitr prayers.
Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at 5:43am. For the comfort of the worshipers, the Department has readied several places across the country for Eid Al Fitr prayers according to the population. This extensive network ensures accessibility for worshippers in various neighborhoods, reflecting Qatar's commitment to facilitating a smooth and inclusive celebration.
This preparation includes logistical arrangements such as cleaning and maintaining the prayer spaces, with support from other entities, which typically conduct campaigns to ensure hygiene and safety at these locations.
This year’s figure of 690 locations marks an increase from the previous year, 642 in 2024, indicating ongoing efforts to expand capacity and convenience. The selection of sites spans urban and rural areas alike, including notable locations
Al Salata Al Jadeeda will have eight mosques and prayer grounds at Abu Hamid Al Ghazali mosque, Haroon Al Rasheed mosque, Yousuf bin Abdurrahaman Al Mulla mosque, Sheikh Ahmad Mohamad Al Ahmad Al Thani mosque, Mohamad Abdurrahman Al Zaman mosque, Al Aseeri mosque, Mohamad bin Hasan Al Hajji Al Sulaiti mosque and Al Arabi Sports Club.
Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at five places in Al Thumama at Ismail Bin Ali Al Emadi mosque, mosque No. 1300, Al Thumama Eid Prayer Ground, Saman Bin Juwan Al Faheed Al Hajari mosque and Salim Jaber Hasan Al Hasan mosque.
Al Aziziyah will have eight places at Al Aziziyah Eid Prayer Ground opposite mosque No. 534, prayer ground east of Zoo near mosque No. 834, Hissa Bint Sultan Bin Ali Al Suwaidi mosque, Abdullah Futtais mosque, Mohamad bin Abdurrahim Bin Ali Al Ansari mosque, Mohamad Ahmad Al Ansari mosque, Yousuf Abdurrahman Al Muzaffar mosque and Abdul Latif Bin Abdurrahman Al Mana mosque.
There are three places at Fereej Bin Omran – Mohamad Jaber Abdullah Al Jaber mosque, Sultan Naser Tawar Al Kuwari mosque and Sara Bint Saqar Hamam Al Abdullah mosque.
Freej Bin Mahmoud will have four places for Eid Al Fitr prayer at Sheikh Naser Bin Abdullah Al Thani Eid Prayer Ground, Mosque No. 172, Jafar Bin Abi Talib mosque and Al Muraikhat mosque.
Freej Bin Abdul Aziz will have four places at Juwairiaya Bin Al Harith mosque, Mosque No. 150, Al Imam Al Nawi mosque and Mosque No. 153. There are three places in Freej Kulaib at Umm Al Muminin Aisha Bint Abi Bakr mosque, Amar Bin Al Aas mosque and Mosque No. 904.
Madinat Khalif South will have seven places at Ramla Bint Abi Sufyan mosque, Ahmad Bin Rashid Bin Jama Khamis Hilal Al Muraikhi mosque, Jawhrana Khalifa Al Suwaidi mosque, Fatima Al Zahra mosque, Hissa Al Ajjaj mosque, Mosque No. 578 and Omar Bin Al Khattab mosque. However, Madinat Khalif South will have three places at Suraqa Bin Malik mosque, Mosque No. 245 and Salim Mohamad Saed Al Marri mosque. There are 12 places in the Industrial Area. As many as 23 places have been prepared in Al Wakra and 15 places in Al Wukair. Muaither will have 30 places.
