Algerian singer Lila Borsali to enthral fans at Katara Opera House tonight

DOHA: Prominent Algerian singer Lila Borsali will enthral Andalusian music lovers tonight at Katara Opera House.
The Algerian Concert, which starts at 7pm, is being organised by the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara, the Algerian Agency for Cultural Influence (AARC) and the Algerian embassy.
A delegation from AARC, led by its Director Nazih Ben Ramadan, recently met Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and discussed cooperation in the cultural field and ways to strengthen and develop it to serve the Arab culture. 
They also reviewed organising Algerian art and culture events and activities.
Dr Al Sulaiti briefed the delegation on Katara’s efforts in the field of promoting Arab writers and Arabic writing, specifically through the highly successful Katara Prize for Arabic Novel which set a new milestone in the field of contemporary Arabic literature. 
The prize, which combines novel, drama and translation, saw 475 entries from all over the Arab world during its inaugural edition.
Ramadan expressed AARC’s keenness to establish cultural partnership with Katara through programmes on Algerian and Arab films and developing creative talent of youth in various fields.
