Contemporary Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn's sculpture Qatar Forward was inaugurated in Aspire Zone, on Wednesday morning, October 26, 2022.

Quinn along with Aspire Zone officials inaugurated the enormous sculpture of two hands upholding the words 'Qatar' 'Forward', that expresses living life as the experience of a series of unique events that shape our future, evolve and learn through it.

Expressing his happinness at having placed another sculpture in Aspire Zone, Quinn wrote on his Instagram as he shared a video of his latest installation, "It’s as important to focus on a single event as to not forget to visualize the grander picture. Life is made up by many special events and how we experience them forms our future. We are constantly evolving, constantly learning and moving forward."

This is his second monument being unveiled at Aspire, the first one being Rise Through Education monument near Aspire Academy. Quinn is also the artist behind the iconic bronze, stainless steel and aluminium installation The Force of Nature II at Katara Cultural Village.

Quinn has also been commissioned by Hyundai to make a sculpture for Al Bidda Park fan zone. According to reports the artist plans an 18-metre-wide and 8-metre-high scupture made out of recycled stainless steel mesh. And if reports are to believed, the work, which will be unveiled just ahead of the World Cup, would be Quinn's largest freestanding sculpture to date.
